I see a red door…

Front_doorWell okay, it wasn’t red. It was a faded blue and now it’s a bright shiny new blue. Yesterday’s job was to repaint the front door. He’s not quite that shiny now that he’s dry but he does look much improved. I may paint the inside as well, early next week when I do the stairwell. During the week I did the trim and Chris’s door in the hallway. I also managed to straighten up Chris’s room so far as I was able yesterday. It’s pretty crowded in there now with all his dorm things. He’ll be home Monday and he’ll move back into the dorm the following Monday. We forgot to arrange the early move-in for him but he says Dima, his roommate, will be arriving on Monday as well.

Go_with_the_flow_second_gussetI’m on to the gusset in the second Go with the Flow sock so I finally feel like I’m making some progress on those.  I was so encouraged that I went out yesterday and picked up some lovely soft purple cashmerino for some ThankYou socks for Cecily. I was planning to do some curvy lace socks but I’m now eyeing the Vine Lace Socks from Socks Socks Socks.

  1. Hi Julie – The door looks great. Thank you SO much for the paper crane. She’s just beautiful with her dragonfly paper, and I loved finding it in my mail!

  2. That looks just about the same shade of blue I painted our laundry room door a few years ago–obviously a color I like! It looks lovely. And thank you for the crane! Not only is it lovely (and also blue!), but it came on the day I was going to Tim and Betty’s wedding. I’ll consider than an omen! Thank you! (Though, I’m still having trouble blowing into that teeny tiny hole . . . but the crane is being very patient with me.)

  3. Julie that door is gorgeous! What a beautiful shade of blue. You are getting so much done around your house!
