I was up pretty early this morning to watch storm coverage of Katrina and hence have finished Charlotte’s scarf. Here she is blocking on Chris’s bed. This is my scarf for Celia’s scarf exchange, due out by the end of the month. I’m sure glad to be finished with that one. Cramming that many stitches on a 36" needle was tough on my wrists already sore from sanding and painting. If I do another scarf knit lengthwise I’ll defnitely invest in the 60" needles first!
It looked like Chris would certainly be fine based on where Katrina came ashore and I was finally able to get through to his phone and talk to him just a minute and verify that. I’ve also heard that Dad stayed home in Elberta (just north of Gulf Shores) and that he is also okay.

Glad they’re all safe. I’ve been watching it on our news over here wondering how on earth people cope with it all.

It’s a miracle that things were not worse as they said it was “the one.” Glad to hear everybody in your family is safe.
