I’ve been meaning to have a go at Navajo plying but I couldn’t sort out how to get started- Thanks Rose for the tip! This is the purple stuff Rose sent me to play with that’s finally been plied and skeined. I’ve got about 80 yards of what I think is a bit overtwisted Navajo plied yarn.

I like the color. I am still trying to figure out how to spin on my drop spindle.
Can you recommend any sock patterns for a newbie? I have some sock yarn, but I haven’t been able to find a easy pattern for a beginner. Toe up or toe down?

It’s great isn’t it! Just remember you loose about a 3rd of the yardage with Navajo plying….but a lovely effect
