So I’m knitting the Log Cabin Socks from Handknit holidays. The book was a great Christmas gift chosen for me off my sidebar wishlist. Thanks again Alice, it’s a very useful gift. These socks are worsted weight and just fly off the needles almost all on their own. I’d probably be nearly done with the sock already had I not hit a little snag.
Yes, those are knots in the yarn. There are actually three though only two made it into the photo. My heel flap is almost done with the heel turn close behind but I’ve got a sinus infection and so I just stopped cold in my tracks when I came to these thinking it would be better to wait until morning to deal with them when I might be a bit more coherent. Gee Teyani, I wonder if it’s contagious? I’ve got plenty of yarn so I’ll finish this one with a woven in end and probably do a pair for me and a pair for the exchange. Good thing I didn’t wait til closer to the due date to start!

Ooh. Sorry you have knots. What yarn are you using? The sock looks great so far!

I am working on a Ruana with some Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Super Chunky and I have found tons of knots too–it is so aggravating to have to cut and join, cut and join.
Hope you get better soon.
The photos are looking great!

Oh, these socks are coming along so fine – I really love that pattern and think I just have to get this book for myself too – soon! I so hate it when knots show up in the yarn – I hope you won’t come along any more of them!

bummer-rroooney !
Good that you waited until you felt better to tackle the nasty-knot syndrome! Looks like the first completed sock made it thru just fine – they’re gorgeous!!!
