So several days ago a friend taught a sort of mini magic loop class to several of the ladies I knit with (including me) and as a result these tigery socks are back on the needles after two years. I’d made my first attempt with a 32-inch needle and I find the 40-inch one to be much more pleasant. I’m not keen on the purly toe but I know I can fix that on future socks so I won’t hold that against this pair. I think I’ll stay mainly a DPN sock knitter but for patterns needing a size 0 needle I may find this as an option.

I’ve even converted to the dpns and I love ML. I think I like ML best when I’m afraid I’m going to loose a needle or poke someone. Like we went to some sporting event and oops – packed in like sardines. Other than that it’s just seems so much faster going the other way.

hey there – it’s just your Yarn Aboard Fiber Pal stoppin’ by to say that I luv those socks. (and no… once again, I’m not Amanda… just borrowin’ her email so I can stay a surprise)
I especially like the tiger socks the best!

Ooh, I just got some Opal Tiger. How do you recommend splitting the ball? Is there a trick to it?

I’m a ML convert from way back – now I find DPN’s too fiddley and hard to deal with.
