See you later alligator

Tea_with_grace_9_24When the kids were little Mom used to say, "See you later alligator!" instead of goodbye. Don’t worry Grace, we’re not going to say goodbye either, we just won’t see you quite as often. Yesterday several members of our local knitting group gathered at the Colonial Inn for high tea where there was plenty of food and laughter. I forgot my camera but Bonnie was thinking of the blog for me and snapped this shot. Thanks Bonnie!

The honeysuckle is setting fruit this year though it still has plenty of lovely blooms as well. I put in some blue and white pansies along the side of the house and those are beginning to bloom happily after the recent rains. My sweet autumn clematis is also really coming into bloom and if I’m out in the evening I can smell it’s fragrance as I pass by it into the house. It’s an old favorite of mine so I’m very happy I could have one in this climate. It always reminds me of Grandma who used to grow it as well.

  1. We used to say that all the time too. The response was always: After a while, Crocodile!
We will definitely keep in touch and continue to see one another. So many fiber festivals to see……. so many fiber people to meet…. so much yarn to buy! That’s a lot to look forward to. : )

is there anything one can do with honeysuckle berries??
