I took some knitting with me to Relay summit last weekend but I didn’t have time to do more than caston so I wasn’t sure if my guage was right. Usually I just go down a needle size and I’m fine but this is one case where that didn’t work for me. This was meant to be a Relay hat (that’s dark purple not black) but it’s pretty darn big. I worked on it during the course of the summit last weekend and then finished up the white bit at knitting last night. I may run it through the wash to see if it’ll shrink to a more reasonable size though it does seem to be allright if you wear a large hat size. If it shrinks nicely then I’ll do a little i-cord for a ribbon shape appliqued to the front of it to finish it off.
Bigger isn’t always better

Hmm. Wish I had that problem…For some reason my hats all end up too small. I must be in too much of a hurry!

That sounds like a good plan!

That happens to me too. I knit a Cousin IT hat once.
