Fruits and Veggies

7_20_cucumberMy little garden is hanging in there and just as it was time to leave on vacation the tomatoes finally began to turn ripe. I tried in the past to grow them on the patio in containers only to have them attacked by birds and squirrels alike but so far they seem to be safe in the garden. The squash and zucchini bloom like crazy but no fruits develop so I wonder where my pollinators are. The cucumbers have just begun to bloom so I’m anxious to see if I have better luck with them.

  1. Looks like you have lots of great things growing in your garden! We attempted to grow watermelons and tomatoes a few years back and didn’t have a whole lot of success. As much as I try I really don’t have much of a green thumb.

  2. That happens to me every time I grow tomatoes

  3. What are the blooms doing? Just dying or are they turning black and fuzzy?

  4. Tomato popping time! I have been popping our cherry tomatoes into my mouth every time I walk by the hoophouse. Yum!

  5. By the way, don’t know when you added the header picture of socks and gargoyle, but I love it!!!
