My sister and her kids have been here visiting the last couple days and headed for home early this morning. We had hoped to spend yesterday morning at the beach but alas it was not to be so we laid low at home. There might have been some crafty doings and there was, of course, a trip to Kimball Farm for ice cream. Gabby nearly went home in someone’s suitcase but her mother was vigilant.

My niece’s birthday was earlier this month and her gift was a set of knitting looms and a skein or two of yarn. We left it with my nephew while we went out yarn shopping and by the time we got home he’d knit half a hat. It was quick work to finish the job and the completed hat is really cute.
