What do you do when the power is out all day but knit a toe? I was dismayed to find I’d goofed half a row on the sole of the foot but decided it was not worth ripping back half the toe to fix it. On the front, however, I was appalled to see a glaring error. I find it so easy to see mistakes in this sort of colorwork that I have no idea how that escaped me but it certainly did. When I came to the end of the toe I repair the mistake with duplicate stitch before closing my toe.
Here he is on the blocking board (thanks Michelle!) getting his beauty rest. I hope to cast on for sock #2 later today. According to my scale (thanks Rose and Carrie!) I may have enough yarn for another pair with these colors though I likely won’t repeat this same pattern.

Despite the glitches, I’m loving the colours in these socks, and that gusset is the Coolest Thing around.

Very pretty. The heel/gusset construction really shines in this photo.

Beautiful! I’ve spent half a day pairing solids and hand dyed yarn.

I agree with Dave, the gusset is so cool. The sock is really awesome. Looks perfect to me!
