Breakfast was included with our room and that was the first order of business yesterday morning. After that we loaded up the vehicle for the return trip home. Look how much room we have left! We had planned to visit Halcyon which was open especially for SPA attendants and had a %10 discount for the day. I’ve never been there and it was well worth the trip.

Mary picked up a flyer for the Knitting Experience Cafe, (she’s always thinking of us) so we stopped there next.
The owner was very excited to see people from SPA stopping by. We grabbed some lunch at Joshua’s afterwards where I found some delicious Maine shrimp. Walking back to the car we spotted a little glimpse into the future.

Next up was a visit to Purl Diva’s in which Kathy executed a u-turn to stop on the wrong side of the road just especially for us. We were glad she did because the shop was adorable complete with a very soft cute dog. She has an amazing selection of Fleece Artist and Lorna’s yarns many of which I’d never seen. We made a brief stop so I could get a photo of this amusing cow advertising her drive-thru coffee (sadly closed for the day). In the course of ensuing discussions it came up that I’d never been to Yummies and so one last pit stop was dictated and purchases were made by all. More photos of the trip are here for those who want to see more.

The yarn stores are all nice, but that picture of Yummies gives me that delightfully overwhelmed feeling that the backroom at Webs does. I can’t even imagine being there in person with all of the chocolate fumes…

Wasn’t it a fun weekend!! I loved Purl Diva too and that’s exactly what I bought — Lorna’s Laces and Fleece Artist!

Wow – how far is that Halycon yarn… that looks like a must stop one day.

I’ve never been to Halcyon, but one day, I swear, I will make it!
I’d be excited just by that Lopi section you photographed.
