We had a lovely Easter dinner yesterday on the tail end of Chris’s final spring break before graduation. We started with a decadent cream of asparagus soup, finished with a fabulous chocolate dessert (I used Grand Marnier instead of vanilla as well as some orange zest in some of the layers) that was worth the wait and had a delicious ham with roasted potatoes, salad, and sweet potato rolls in between. Gabby wants you to know that she feels she was not given enough pats for the day as her people were too busy cooking and froofing up the table. I’m looking forward to cheddar biscuit ham sandwiches and ham and bean soup later this week. I can finally satisfy that craving I’ve had since visiting Colorado over Christmas (that would be your fault Carrie! It smelled so good when we walked into the house Christmas evening).
A good time was had by all

That Gabby is so cute. I can’t wait to give her a good patting when I come for a visit.
