I’m still having fun with Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day. Allergies kept me inside yesterday as well (and I had *really* wanted to go watch the soccer game and visit the beach after) so Jason took over my mulching duties and I cooked dinner. Here we have scallop pizza with the most amazing swiss cheese I’d purchased in Concord earlier in the week as well as a lovely goat cheese and black olive pizza. This is such a quick and easy dinner with the dough already sitting in the fridge just waiting that it takes only a few minutes to throw together.

What with all that hiding inside I manage to finish up my round 3 Sock Madness socks (remember I’m just knitting along now). I really like these and would definitely knit them again. The pattern is Slippin’ and Stripin’ socks knit on size 1 needles (that’s down two sizes rather than my usual 1, I’d go with 1 1/2′s next time) with Tess Superwash Merino Laceweight yarn held double throughout. They are very soft and cozy. I’ve heard there are some issues with color bleeding in this yarn so I’ll have to be sure and give them a vinegar rinse and blocking before I wear them. ETA: I don’t want to mislead anyone using this pattern- I knit loosely so I always go down a needle size hence you should only do that if it’s normal for you.

Love the colours you chose, and the way they went together. I’m about ready to start mine — hoping they turn out as nicely. Thanks for the tip on needle size. I’m a bit concerned about all those slipped stitches, as they do reduce stretchability. I think I’ll do the same, or maybe slip less often. Hmmmmm.

Ooh…how long did you let the dough sit before putting in the oven? I am very curious to try that with my dough.

The pizza looks delicious! I have that book on my Amazon list.

Love the socks! I love blue and yellow together! You knit them pretty quickly even if you were just knitting along for fun.
