What came home

PurchasesI’d gone to CT S&W with a very specific shopping list and then a small amount of splurge money as well. Last year I’d admired the lovely alpaca yarn at Time’s Remembered but didn’t buy any. I kept thinking how sorry I was that I hadn’t bought any so I picked up a skein at NH S&W the following month. Over the course of the year I’ve been wondering what to make with it and I just keep thinking it really wants to be a sweater. With that in mind I planned to pick up a few more skeins this year in CT. In addition I splurged on some lovely cashmere and silk tussah roving as well as a cute little (very inexpensive) diz.

  1. Hey, glad you had fun on Saturday – and I’m sorry I missed you. We didn’t stay very long, for some reason I wasn’t feeling well. Heck, I didn’t even buy any yarn, so I must have had a fever or something – lol. (Don’t worry, I more than made up for it an WEBS yesterday.) Anyway, glad you had a nice day – Times Remembered always had such pretty yarn and this year was no exception. That little diz is so cool. All I bought was an ornament from the porcelain bead lady – although I now wish I had bought some buttons from her too. :)

  2. Oooooh, cashmere/silk! That stuff looks heavenly! :-)
And I feel like an idiot–I saw those dizzes (dizes? how do you spell that anyway?) for sale but didn’t have any clue what they were. Ha! ;-)

  3. I am so glad the weather turned out to be nicer than they predicted.
    cashmere/silk – yummy!
I wish I had made it down, but didn’t get a chance to.

  4. Cashmere and silk, that should be heavnly to spin up. Glad you had a good time at sheep and wool. I was there but only for an hour as my son had his first soccer game that day.

  5. I love that diz. Such a pretty thing. Who bought the fleece in your group? It looks like Alice Field’s Cormo (Foxhill Farm).
