Spinning my wheel

BobbinbegunOne of the things that happened when I visited Mme Purl last month is that I realized I spin a great deal better on her Lendrum than I do on my Traditional. We spent the whole weekend scheming and plotting and trying to figure out how to effect a switch but when I got home and the local knitters learned what was up it all just fell into place. One friend is going to buy my wheel along with the jumbo flyer and another friend is going to take the lace flyer off my hands. Between the two I have a nice start on financing the Lendrum and Santa plans to take care of the rest with additional bobbins and things to come later for my birthday. That means I need to clear off those bobbins so that my wheel will be all ready for her new home in December. Last night I finally made it out to spinning and got to work on this fun superwash roving I dyed with Mme Purl ages ago. It was based on my favorite shirt from high school which was a yellow and orange flower print with a blue background, just exactly as bright as this roving.
