Only thing to do is jump over the moon

5-31-trix-are-for-kids 5-31-silly-gabby 5-31-garmin-case 5-31-wristy Gabby continues to sit in the strangest places. Yesterday she decided to check out the new carrier and somehow managed not to topple over. As you can see her coat is really coming in fast now so she'll get a new lion cut in a few weeks as soon as things settle down here and I'm not dashing willy nilly from one errand/appointment to the next. I spent much of the day yesterday in the sewing room. I used the bottom half of a felted sock to make a little carrying case for our new Garmin and I used a bit of quilt scrap to make a wrist  rest for Daniel as per his request.

5-31-hanging 5-31-blue-flat 5-31-cow-flat I also stitched up a long overdue project. My niece and nephew requested bean bag chairs for Christmas and my sister planned to buy the fabric since they had some very specific ideas in mind. She's been awfully busy herself and it took until late March for the fabric to arrive by which time I was immersed in physical therapy and on restricted activity. Things are progressing well and sewing does not entail much of the type of movement I need to avoid so I pulled these out to finish up knowing that I'll be seeing my niece and nephew at the end of the week. Here they are awaiting their filling.

  1. I was thinking of you this weekend as I spent time deadheading my lilacs and rhodies. Lilacs are so tall might not be able to get them all but I got what I could.

  2. Gabby is so cute. Her hair is really filling in fast now. I know what you mean by settling down. I think things are settling down around here, for the time being at least. Whew. Hope you have a good week.

  3. Awww, Gabby knows that sometimes the best places to sit are the least obvious. :) Those bean bag chairs are cool – the kids are going to love them!!

  4. Is Gabby a ragdoll? I have a blue bi-color ragdoll named Willow.
I love the wrist rest pad you made…I’ve developed the dreaded carpal tunnel syndrome over the last year–ouch!
    Very nice beanbag chairs!
