Running on Wool Fumes

10-17-mobs10-17-purchasesWe headed over to the New York Sheep and Wool Festival aka Rhinebeck bright and early, arriving just as the gates opened on Saturday. The weather was clear but cold and there was quite a crowd. We managed to squeeze into our favorite booths and make several purchases. Rose spotted the find of the day in some very reasonably priced lace yarn at the Skaska designs booth.

  1. Sounds like you had a great trip! BFF & I drove up on Friday afternoon, stopped at Vassar. Took our time Sat am (since we both have thin blood)…made it to ‘Beck by 12-ish. Looked for you but sounds like you had already left! Ah well…maybe next year KnittingZeal will join us and we’ll have a big ‘ole meetup!

  2. Which issue of Piecework is that?

I love how you manage to fit in some sight seeing while at Rhinebeck. I took the Park Slope Knitter’s bus up on Saturday at 6am and left at 4pm. So tiring! Especially with only 2 hours of sleep. I need to rethink travel arrangements next year.
