Jason’s lunch bag had a run-in with some borscht and needs replacing so on the sewing table this week is the beginnings of a new and improved version complete with insulation. I’m basing it on this tutorial though I’ve multiplied all the dimensions by 1.5 so that it’s big enough for a manly lunch. The orange and gingham are the inside panels (I didn’t have enough gingham) and the outside will be all cherry. I’ve made a pretty big dent in the oilcloth stash now but I do still have enough left for a few more little projects. Today is full of appointments so I don’t expect to get this bag finished up until tomorrow but it should be ready for action in plenty of time for next week’s lunches.

Is that a difficult pattern? That might be something Amberly would like to do over the holidays as a project…
