While we were in Florida we ate out on the patio several times and I noticed a very interesting plant with sort of zig zaggy leaves that reminded me a bit of night blooming cereus. I asked my mother-in-law if I could have a few cuttings to bring home and try to root. This morning Googlefoo tells me it’s a rare cactus that does indeed have fragrant blooms that open at night in the fall and it’s a relative of the types of night blooming cereus I have. I love the wild leaf shape and I hope it roots. The Epiphyllum I have already roots readily though it has not bloomed for me since becoming an indoor plant, I think it misses my Louisiana greenhouse.
