Hilary at Knit and Nosh inspired me to get out my new-ish canning equipment and give jam a go. She advised, start small and have reasonable expectations. I picked up a flat of strawberries thinking I was starting fairly small and ended up with 8 pints of strawberry blueberry jam. I wasn’t too crazy about doing a gel test on a place so I poked about and found a nice web reference with a temperature chart. I’m much happier with an actual measurement rather than a subjective observation!
