Like we did last summer

002003005I wanted to put my plying class knowledge to use right away after returning home which is why I’d done full bobbins for that class in the first place. It was quick work to ply up the rest of the singles and I think it’s turned out nicely. As hoped, Madame Purl recognized the fiber she’d given me and it’s the same lovely Corriedale mohair blend she used for my Saxony socks. Absolutely perfect for gloves for Jason. He asked for socks too so the other ball o’ fluff will eventually get spun for that. The yarn is a little less twisty than I’d like so next time I’ll put more twist in my singles which will in turn call for more twist in the plying. With the mohair in these will wear beautifully and will be perfect for snow shoveling just as those socks are going to be exactly what’s needed for my rain/snow boots that have no insulation.
