We’re awfully glad doc has nixed the banana flavored medicine. Someone’s not happy about the antirobe but there’s no foaming at the mouth or histronics. Gwen’s WBC were down to 27K from 31K but we’re looking for something more in the 10K range so banana antibiotic wasn’t doing the trick. We’ll give this one a week and do bloodwork again after Thanksgiving.
We got our first CSA ham hock in our share this month. I have given up on buying these in the store as they always taste terrible but this one was lovely. I simmered it for a couple hours and then added onion, carrot, celery, turnip, herbs de Provence and parsley for another 30 minutes. I had cabbage I meant to add as well but it had been a long day and I completely forgot. Darn!

Gwen does look happy in the sun. I hope she feels better. The thought of banana flavored medicine makes me go ick! Too bad they didn’t have tuna flavored.
Your soup looks delicious. My mother and I were talking recently and we both agreed that pork doesn’t taste the way it used to in any form.

Soups looks yum. I’m always a fan of white bean and ham. Never had it growing up, but love it now.
