We watched bits of the parade, a bit of the dog show and some football and then we had a really lovely meal. Chris must have gotten up before dawn as he arrived bright and early despite a minimum 4.5 hour drive. That’s a crab cake over on Daniel’s plate, heĀ does not eat turkey. Today we’re planning to get our Christmas tree and then we’re off to an early showing of the latest Harry Potter movie. A full set of Thanksgiving pictures can be found on Flickr here.

Your table is just beautiful and your meal looks delicious. I had to see your turkey. It looks lovely. I bet it was excellent.

Your table runner is so nice – I have a round table though. What could you put there – perhaps a pie shaped mat (but that sounds like fidly work). Did you make the mats too? I know you are a great cook and I bet everything was perfect. Happy belated Thanksgiving

Thanks for the feedback – I’m busy knitting but I may wander over to Fabricville to see what they have….never really quilted before but done patchwork. BTW I like your blue mats! I guess you could make a bluish runner and/or brown mats – to have two sets!! I like the idea of Thanksgiving – a great rehearsal for Christmas too!
Cheers

Yes – I think I will drag out my old trusty sewing machine – get DH to prep it for me – and start making some mats. Thanks for the inspiration
