World Quilt Show in Manchester, NH

066 036 037

I spent a day at the World Quilt Show with my friend Radha, who also quilts. The quilts on display were from all around the world and were thoroughly astounding. I told Radha my vocabulary was reduced to “wow” and “amazing”. I have many photos of one show-stopper after another here. I filled up my shopping bag over the course of the day and bought many things to make as holiday gifts and a few things for myself as well.

I’m going to be quite the busy bee this fall!

006 bread bags

One project is already done. My friend Jenny’s bread bag has been here at the house ever since the spin-in a few months ago and I felt guilty about keeping it so long before getting it back to her. When I saw these lovely vintage dish towels I decided to make her a second one so she’ll have a spare. I got enough towels to do a few of these for myself as well.

  1. How long is this lovely show up? I’ll be in Vermont this week. Know we’re going to NH a couple of times.

  2. Nice fabric! I bought some of the sheep knitting recently.it makes me laugh. How long can you store bread in a fabric bag? Or do you just use it while it is cooling?
