I’ve been planning to do a Farmer’s Wife quilt for some months now. I first got the book at the library, then bought it, then coerced a few friends into it as well and then proceeded to start stockpiling fabrics for it. I knew I wouldn’t be able to start until after Christmas. When I found a class starting January 3rd at my local quilt shop, I didn’t hesitate to sign up. The class will cover a little less than half those in the book but by the time the year is over, I’m sure I’ll be ready to tackle the rest on my own.

Julie, A gift going out for you this week at last! I have enjoyed being a correspondent with you for all this time and am absolutely overwhelmed at all that you create. Just so beautiful. Between the food and the quilts and the crafts . . . . now I REALLY wish we lived closer.
