This fellow seems to be hanging around the yard of late. It’s a very pretty milk snake and is not dangerous but I wish it would not hang about on my patio!

Wow… he’s long. I’ve only seen garter snakes around here. Very small ones for sure.

Oh dear, very pretty but long enough to make me jump if I wasn’t mentally prepared.
What is hanging out on my patio these days and has me extremely nervous is the biggest scorpion I’ve ever seen. I first saw him last week in the middle of the night, running across the patio. I thought it was the biggest gekko ever with a damaged tail. Then I realized it was a tightly curled tail and the light bulb in my brain illuminated. I really worry about him (or more likely them) hurting my cats, or trying to move into the house.
